In recent decades, the growth of technological instruments used to document, analyse and communicate information regarding archaeological sites, has affected the way that archaeological and historical information are transmitted and perceived by the community.
In particular, the introduction of virtual reality as a tool to represent and explore visual interpretations of the past increases the possibilities for scholars and researchers to provide more accurate descriptions of their work and to make transparent the scientific process behind the final result.
In the frame of this seminar several case studies, where a “virtual approach” has been used to simulate and interpret the past, will be presented and discussed.Lund University
